Attorney-at-law in Japan, 2015
Hideto Kanda has been engaged in intellectual property (IP) matters and has represented more than 40 IP litigation cases since becoming a registered attorney-at-law. In patent disputes, he makes it a rule to present his clients’ arguments clearly to the judge by elaborating the technological aspects of the patent as plainly as possible, from the perspective of someone without a scientific background.
On a day-to-day basis, he handles contract drafting and legal advice, and his strength lies in his ability to provide prompt services, with a commitment to reply within half a day of receiving a request.
In addition to his intellectual property practice, Mr. Kanda has been involved in a wide range of corporate matters, including employment issues, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, personal information protection law and data protection, and advertising laws (e.g., Premiums and Misleading Representations Act, Pharmaceutical Law, etc.) to meet the needs of clients.
