He was involved in intellectual property litigations from his first year, and has since then, been involved in a wide variety of intellectual property cases including patents, trademarks, design rights, copyrights and unfair competition. In addition to representing parties in lawsuits and negotiations, as a specialist in intellectual property rights he also serves in various decision-making positions; as an expert committee member of Tokyo Customs, as an examination committee member of the Japan Patent Office, and as an intellectual property faculty member of the Law School. He has also been working as a committee member of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association’s civil intervention violence prevention program.

In addition, Mr. Yugeta has handled numerous bankruptcy cases as a trustee appointed by the Tokyo District Court and based on these experiences, has been able to devise appropriate strategies to deal with the financial difficulties of his clients’ business partners, even in times of emergency.

Mr. Yugeta firmly believes that the attorney who merely presents the usual options is not one capable of meeting the clients’ needs.
